it's the weekend already!
So excited to start my weekend early! After picking up my best friend tonight, we have a whirlwind schedule for the next 4 days… John Mayer concert tonight, happy hours, SD zoo, beaches, Padres game, sailing on the bay, concert in the park, exploring balboa park, and possibly some kayaking. Whew!

Hollywood Bowl With Brad Mehldau

This Sunday night’s show at the Hollywood Bowl will feature a mini-set of music with pianist Brad Mehldau. It’ll take place between Owl City’s and my normal set. The Bowl is such an historic venue that I had to make sure something special went down there. Just a piano, guitar and some classic covers… maybe one of my tunes thrown in.

I love stumbling across new music. Whether a friend tells you to check something out or burns you a CD, hearing a song on the radio and having to know who sings it, or just finding them on the web somewhere. Last week I stumbled across this band HoneyChild and they have their CD for free download on MySpace. Check it out… it’s on my itunes playlist right now.

50 things to do this summer
I created this list before summer started of things I wanted to do when the weather got hot, and the days got long. Although there haven’t been too many HOT days (thanks San Diego marine layer!) i’ve still managed to get about a third of them complete. Looking forward to finishing the rest!
